Announcement: Establishment of the “Astar Award” by the International Institute for Film Science and Art (IIFSA) and the Upcoming Inaugural Ceremony in August

To promote the integrated development of global film art and technology, and to recognize individuals and institutions who have made outstanding contributions in film creation, technological innovation, theoretical research, educational dissemination, and cultural exchange,International Institute of Film Science and Arts (IIFSA)Formally establish annual international awards——“Astar Award”. (Translated as Asta Award, translated as Star Award)

Astar "means" star of images "， A is art, S is science, and star is the meaning of stars, paying tribute to filmmakers, researchers, and art educators who respond to contemporary issues with film language, push the boundaries of art with technology, and lead future narratives with humanistic care.

The first Astar Award ceremony will be held at August 2025

The event will bring together film artists, academic leaders, technology pioneers, and young creators from around the world to witness the shining moment of the intersection of technology and film.
