Liu Shan
Liu Shan, Director of the Department of Intelligent Science, Communication University of China (CUC), is a Young Top Talent of CUC, a professor, and a doctoral supervisor. He obtained his doctoral degree from Texas A&M University in the United States. He serves as an expert in the Teaching Evaluation and Supervision Committee of CUC, a member of the Sub-committee of Academic Degrees Evaluation, and a member of the Expert Committee for the Selection of Postgraduate Literatures. He is also a reviewer of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, an expert in the Expert Database of the National Social Science Foundation, a reviewer of academic dissertations for the Ministry of Education, an expert in the National Postgraduate Education Evaluation and Monitoring Expert Database, a reviewer for the random inspection of national undergraduate graduation theses (designs), and a member of the National Science and Technology Expert Database. In addition, he holds positions as a director of the National University Alliance for Innovation and Industry of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, a member of the Intelligent Media Professional Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, a member of the Cable Television Professional Committee of the Radio and Television Technology Branch of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, a member of the Professional Committee of the Beijing Society of Image and Graphics, a member of the Professional Committee of Network Technology and Intelligent Media Design under the National Association of College Computer Basic Education, a member of the Chinese Association of Automation, and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He has long been a reviewer for several high-level SCI journals such as the IEEE Transactions series. His main research directions include complex networks, intelligent tags, information dissemination, big data, and artificial intelligence. He has presided over and participated in more than 30 major national and provincial-level research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Foundation, the National Key R&D Program, and the National Science and Technology Support Program. He has published over 100 high-level academic papers at home and abroad, with multiple Best Paper Awards. He has also published 4 textbooks and monographs, and holds more than 20 authorized national invention patents and software copyrights. His awards and honors include: First Prize and Outstanding Contribution Award of the Radio, Film and Television Science and Technology Innovation Award; Award of the Beijing Society of Image and Graphics; Second Prize of the Excellent Paper Award in Radio, Film and Television Science and Technology of the China Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers; Third Prize in the 12th Beijing University Young Teachers' Teaching Basic Skills Competition; First Prize in the 11th Young Teachers' Teaching Basic Skills Competition of CUC; First "Three Oxen Award" of CUC; Third Prize in the First Micro-lecture Competition of CUC; Third Prize in the Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition of CUC; Third Prize in the First Laboratory Competition of the National Radio and Television Administration; "China Media Group Award" for Outstanding Class Advisor; "Three Central Stations Award" for Outstanding Class Advisor; and Outstanding Class Advisor of CUC.
