He has presided over 1 sub-project of the Major Project of the National Social Science Fund, 1 key project of the Beijing Social Science Fund, 2 projects of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, 1 project of Beijing Outstanding Talents, 1 Beijing Municipal Ideological and Political Demonstration Course, and multiple key and general projects at Beijing Film Academy.


He has published monographs including A History of Chinese Dubbed Films, Chinese Films in Singapore, A History of Danish Cinema, A History of Swedish Cinema, and The Power of Images: Dialogue between New China and the World. He has edited over 30 books, such as Comprehensive English Course for Art Universities in the New Era, English Reader of Chinese Film Culture, Fashion in Films, Food Maps in Films, Collection of Papers on Ideological and Political Construction of Humanities and General Education Courses in Beijing Film Academy under the Background of "Four Histories" Education, A Handbook of Core English Vocabulary for Art Majors, Teaching and Research of College English for Art Majors, College English Viewing, Listening and Speaking for Art Majors, Film English from a New Perspective, Advanced Film English, English for Film, Television and Animation Majors, and College English Listening and Speaking Course for Art Majors. He has published more than 40 papers in domestic and foreign academic journals such as Contemporary Cinema, Film Art, Journal of Beijing Film Academy, Kosmorama, and International Journal of Academic Studies.
