Nepal Film Campus Officially Joins the IIFSA International Film University Alliance

August 2025 — The International Institute of Film Science & Arts (IIFSA) is pleased to announce that the Nepal Film Campus has officially joined the International Film University Alliance, initiated by IIFSA. As one of the most prominent institutions for film education and creative training in Nepal, its membership brings fresh momentum to the alliance and marks a significant step for South Asia in global film education and research collaboration.

The International Film University Alliance, launched by IIFSA, is designed to establish a global academic network to promote the development of film education and research worldwide. It seeks to strengthen collaboration among member universities in the fields of film science, cinematic arts, and interdisciplinary studies. The alliance will focus on joint research projects, student and faculty exchange programs, international seminars, and young directors’ workshops, while closely linking with international film festivals and the prestigious Astar Award.

The Director of Nepal Film Campus expressed great honor in joining the alliance and emphasized the importance of global cooperation:

“Nepal’s film industry is experiencing rapid growth. By joining the International Film University Alliance, we aim to expand opportunities for our students and faculty, improve the quality of talent cultivation, and strengthen the international reach of Nepali cinema.”
