Subject: Astar Award Submission Deadline & Instructions for Invited Entries Only

Dear Filmmakers and Teams,

Thank you for your continued interest in the Astar Award. Please note the following important details:

This call for materials applies exclusively to invited entries. Only those films formally invited for nomination should proceed with submission.

Submission Deadline: August 10, 2025, 23:59 (GMT+8)

Submissions received after the deadline or missing required materials may not be considered.

Required Materials (Invited Entries Only)

1.  Film Copy

• Format: Digital file suitable for theatrical exhibition (MOV, MPEG‑2, or DCP)

• Resolution: Preferred 1920×1080

• Subtitles: Non-English films must include an English subtitle file (SRT or ASS)

2.  Promotional Assets

• Trailer: Two versions—one with subtitles and one without; MOV or MPEG‑2, 1920×1080

• Stills: JPEG files at 300 dpi, each at least 2 MB

• Poster: JPEG file at 300 dpi, print-quality clarity

• Portraits: JPEG format, 300 dpi—featuring key talent (director, actors, etc.)

3.  Text Documents

• Synopsis (English): No more than 100 words

• Full Credits List: Include director, writer, principal cast, etc.

• Talent Bios: English-language biographies of the director or key creatives (if available)

4.  Authorization

• If you authorize IIFSA to use clips or stills for promotional purposes (website, broadcast, print), please upload a signed authorization form

5. Optional Supporting Documents

• Exhibition proof: Screening schedule, festival premiere notice, or theater screening confirmation

• Copyright documentation: Confirmation of rights clearance, ownership, or relevant usage contracts

Submission Guidelines

• Please compile all materials into a single compressed folder and send via email to secretary2@iifsa.org

• File naming convention: ProjectTitle_MaterialType_Version (e.g., MyFilm_Trailer_EN_v1.zip)

• For large files, you may share a cloud download link—ensure that access permissions are enabled
